Course Overview
This course is offered to members of our community who are prepared to do some independent learning at home and can commit to placement within the course. Ranges TEC can provide a variety of suggested placement opportunities.
This is a 1 year course.
About
The Certificate II in Auslan will not only equip you with basic conversational Auslan skills, but also provide you with a cultural understanding of the Deaf community. This will enable you to communicate and engage respectfully with Australia’s Deaf community. This qualification can be used to support your work in child care, education and disability settings. It can also lead into an Auslan interpreting pathway and other rewarding career opportunities in the Deaf community.

Assessment may involve a combination of demonstration of practical tasks, assignments and recorded conversations.
