— Our Achievements
At Ranges TEC, we are honoured to have been recognised for our excellent training programs and skilled students. Our awards and achievements are a testament to the quality of education we provide, our commitment to excellence and our commitment to our students.
Ranges TEC’s Year 11L class of 2021 was recognised for their exceptional work partnering with Kerrimuir Neighbourhood House (KNH). The project saw a team of VCAL students assist KNH with applying for a Rotary International Grant for project funding, preparing the site for a redesigned garden, and fabricating steel garden ornaments to round off the project.

Ranges TEC won the Annual Outer Eastern Trade Trading Alliance Culinary Competition for the second consecutive year! I’ll be taking home the illustrious OETTA Culinary Competition trophy. For further details, please refer to the OELLEN Award
An OELLEN (Outer Eastern Learning Employment Network) 2017 VCAL Teacher Award was presented in May to our Year 10 Teacher, Ross, for the great work he does with his students, both in classwork and offsite projects.
In April 2018, at Deakin Edge, Federation Square, The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) conducted the 2017 VCAL Achievement Awards.
The awards commemorated the extraordinary achievements of young individuals who undertook and accomplished a Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) qualification. The awards also acknowledged the contribution and accomplishment of VCAL teachers and partner organizations in the creation and execution of innovative VCAL programs.
Ranges TEC – RTO 22559 and The Mustard Tree Op Shop & Cafe received an award for excellence in the category of Partner – Workplace Learning. In 2017, Ranges TEC had collaborated with The Mustard Tree Opportunity Shop in Lilydale on a community project. The students designed and constructed a variety of projects including a new garden shed with paving, outdoor seating, fencing, and completed screening to our outdoor dining area.
These awards were given to Carol from Ranges TEC and Dale from The Mustard Tree. The Mustard Tree Op Shop & Cafe wanted to recognize the excellent work of all the students and staff that contributed to this beneficial project.
Community involvement is an essential part of what we do here at Ranges TEC. It not only provides our students with unique learning opportunities but also allows us to give back to our local community.
