Ranges TEC provides quality vocational education and training within a learning community characterised by faith, hope, love, joy, peace and service. We aim for students to discover and develop their God-given gifts, grow their biblical understanding of the world and to strive for authentic character in their lives.
— Our Story
Ranges TEC is a specialised campus of Mount Evelyn Christian School, created for hands-on learners to complete their studies in Years 10, 11, and 12, with the aim of completing Year 12 and advancing into trade, TAFE, or the wider job market. Founded by three Christian schools in the outer eastern region – Mount Evelyn Christian School, Mountain District Christian School, and Donvale Christian College – Ranges TEC was established with a vision to offer high-quality vocational education and training to secondary school students in a learning community guided by values of faith, hope, love, joy, peace, and service. The three schools joined forces and applied to the Federal Government for funding to establish a Trade Training Centre, resulting in the allocation of funds to construct a trade training facility in Lilydale and a farm in Monbulk.
Classes at Ranges TEC are usually kept to a maximum of 15 students. This allows students to be treated as individuals and to be given one to one attention as needed, to assist development of their full potential.
