Overview
At Ranges TEC you can undertake a pre-apprenticeship course in Building and Construction (Carpentry). This is a nationally recognised course that provides you with hands-on experience working on carpentry projects and exposes you to a range of career options in the Building and Construction industry.
The course prepares you for a school or work-based apprenticeship as a Carpenter or for work in an entry-level role within the Building and Construction industry.
Occupation Description
Carpenters construct, erect, install, finish and repair wooden and metal structures and fixtures on residential and commercial buildings. They may also work on large concrete, steel and timber structures such as bridges, dams, power stations and civil engineering projects.
